Admiral launches first 50m Panorama semi-custom
Admiral, the flagship brand of The Italian Sea Group (TISG), has launched the first hull of its semi-custom 50-metre Panorama 50 at the yard’s headquarters in Marina di Carrara. The model was introduced to the market in September 2022; the sale of the first two units was announced in November 2023, with Smart Yachts representing the buyer of hull number one. Delivery of the launched hull is expected in 2026.
This launch marks a strategic step for Admiral as it expands its semi-custom offering into the 50-metre segment. The Panorama 50 is positioned to combine the shipyard’s production capabilities with tailored owner options, delivering a 499GT yacht across four decks that targets owners seeking a balance of bespoke layout and efficient series production.

Design and build: steel hull, aluminium superstructure
The Panorama 50 is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, providing structural strength while managing topside weight. The yacht has an 8.9-metre beam and a gross tonnage of 499GT spread over four decks, dimensions that support substantial interior volume and stable seakeeping characteristics.

Design intent emphasizes a continuous relationship between interior and exterior spaces: visual barriers are minimised, overheads are maximised where feasible, and glazing and layout choices prioritise natural light. The series represents Admiral’s first collaboration with Treviso-based studio Piredda & Partners, pairing the shipyard’s in-house design language with an external studio’s material and sculptural approach.

Accommodation: seven cabins and owner’s triple-view suite
Accommodation is arranged across a seven-cabin layout, a configuration the yard describes as uncommon for this size range. Guest suites are positioned on the main deck, while a lower-deck VIP can be repurposed as a television or media room, giving owners flexibility in how the guest spaces are used.
The owner’s suite occupies the upper deck and features curved glazing that provides open views on three sides, plus direct access to a private bow terrace. The beach club is treated as a wellness area, incorporating a glass-sided pool and folding balconies that extend the social space outward over the water.

Panorama 50 launch: market position and order outlook
Power is supplied by twin Caterpillar C32 engines paired with 118 eKW generators, yielding a top speed of approximately 15 knots. Admiral currently lists 14 yachts on order or under construction, including three Panorama 50 units, signalling firm market interest in the new line.
Gianmaria Costantino, chief commercial officer of The Italian Sea Group, framed the Panorama 50 as the start of a new line: “With the 50m M/Y Admiral Panorama, a new line is born, poised to grow and strengthen over time. This yacht combines aesthetic balance, engineering solidity, and contemporary design, where innovation elevates the onboard experience.” The launch, therefore both delivers the first hull to water and sets the course for subsequent deliveries and continued development of the semi-custom Panorama series.
