Baglietto unveils Project Farah: 49.7m full-custom yacht
Baglietto has released first details of Project Farah, a 49.7-metre full-custom superyacht currently under construction at the yard’s La Spezia facilities and scheduled for delivery in 2027. The vessel is classed as sub-500GT and was sold in 2024; Royal Yacht International, which managed the sale, is acting as the owner’s representative and is overseeing the build process on the owner’s behalf.
The owner has described the name Farah as meaning “happiness,” a concept the design intends to express through onboard comfort and lifestyle choices. Baglietto positions the yacht as centred on wellbeing and pleasurable life at sea while maintaining conventional standards of safety and seaworthiness.
Exterior styling, helipad and propulsion performance specs
Renderings show a clean, symmetrical profile with a vertical bow, metallic grey hull and black superstructure, reflecting a restrained contemporary exterior language. The design will include a helipad, extending the vessel’s operational flexibility for owner and guest transfers.
Project Farah will be powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, with a reported top speed of approximately 16 knots. That propulsion choice supports the yacht’s intended performance envelope while aligning with the overall sub-500GT classification and long-range cruising expectations.

Warm modernism interiors, materials, layout and wellbeing
Interior and exterior design have been co-authored by Matheus Farah & Manoel Maia Arquitetura together with Fernando de Almeida Yacht Design, with a brief to translate the “feeling of home” into a maritime environment. The spatial arrangement is described as function-driven and symmetrical, prioritising circulation and flexible use to accommodate different guest needs and owner preferences.
The interiors follow a “warm modernism” concept, favouring natural materials such as wood and leather and a palette of warm browns and sand tones. Subtle gold accents and a soft lighting scheme are planned to reinforce a calm, domestic atmosphere while finishes and structural choices will be aligned with operational and safety requirements.
Baglietto’s bespoke expertise and Project Farah outlook
Baglietto frames Project Farah as representative of its capacity to deliver fully custom builds that interpret complex owner briefs; CCO Fabio Ermetto called the project “unique and outstanding,” highlighting the yard’s ability to reconcile high-quality construction with sophisticated design requirements. Royal Yacht International’s ongoing role as owner representative ensures continuity between the sale and the construction phases.
The yard currently lists 18 yachts under development, including three units of the T60 series, and recently launched the first hull of a new build—the largest vessel Baglietto has produced to date. Project Farah’s delivery in 2027 will be a further milestone for the shipyard and will be followed closely by industry observers given its bespoke specifications and the collaborative design approach.
