Rossinavi Launches 52m Aluminum Superyacht Heed

Rossinavi launches secretive 52.7m superyacht Heed

Rossinavi has announced the launch of a 52.7-metre superyacht from its Pisa facilities, previously identified only as hull FR052. Construction began in January 2024 under a high level of confidentiality, and the project has now been publicly revealed as Heed, a fast-displacement, full-custom build that expands the yard’s portfolio of aluminium yachts.

The announcement marks the completion of a tightly managed design and build process driven by a close client relationship. The owner was represented by Matty Zadnikar of SeaNet SuperYachts, and the project reflects Rossinavi’s capability to execute bespoke, discreet commissions for owners seeking tailored layouts and finishes.

All-aluminium build with Mancini exterior and Salvagni

Heed is constructed entirely in aluminium, a choice that supports the yacht’s fast-displacement hull form and helps achieve weight and performance targets. Naval architecture and engineering were carried out by Arrabito Naval Architects, pairing structural efficiency with the vessel’s intended performance profile.

Exterior design is by Alberto Mancini Yacht Design and interiors are by Achille Salvagni Architetti. The collaboration between these studios and Rossinavi produced a restrained aesthetic: clean, geometric volumes and a metallic grey hull finish that emphasises the yacht’s sculpted lines without ornamentation.

Aft beach club, fold-down platforms, observation deck

The yacht’s aft section features a beach club with an integrated pool and fold-down side platforms that enlarge the social area at water level and provide direct access to the sea. An observation deck has been incorporated as a dedicated lookout and quiet retreat, offering elevated views and a separate place to relax away from main decks.

Interior circulation prioritises open sightlines and social spaces. A fully glazed main saloon opens to a panoramic aft-deck dining area, which includes a starboard fold-down balcony for al fresco dining. The upper deck is arranged around an owner’s suite placed forward to maximise uninterrupted views, accompanied by a private outdoor lounge and a forward pool equipped with a counter-current system.

499GT design freedom, battery operation and market impact

Working within a 499GT threshold allowed the design team to re-evaluate proportions and distribute volume with greater flexibility than stricter gross tonnage limits normally permit. Mancini’s approach places the owner’s stateroom forward on the upper deck to create a quieter, more intimate connection to the sea, while the choice of a metallic grey hull accentuates the yacht’s clean surfaces through changing light conditions.

Heed also includes an onboard battery system to permit operation at anchor with the generators shut down, reducing noise and emissions during overnight stays. Key dimensions are a 9.1-metre beam and a 2.5-metre draught. Rossinavi notes this project alongside other recent developments—such as the Berserk 47 revealed early last year—positioning Heed as a strategically significant addition that demonstrates the yard’s command of custom aluminium construction, owner-focused arrangements and modern systems integration.
