Jeanneau 54 DS Aft Cockpit Walkthrough
MAIN CABIN
The main cabin, as well as the rest of the yacht's interior, features a mahogany and holly sole and
wonderful mahogany paneling, joinery, and appointments. LED lighting is found throughout the yacht
along with ample ventilation from overhead hatches and opening ports throughout the yacht.
Entering from the cockpit a large cabin opens with the nav station to the starboard and the galley to
the port. Forward, the salon features port and starboard settees separated by a fixed teak table with
dual folding leaves. Half circle and barrel chair seating covered in supple beige leather, across from
split seating covered with beige leather divided by the salon ice maker and removable coffee table.
NAV STATION
A traditional nav table with full-size bench with storage underneath is found at the nav station along
with instrumentation, the electrical panels, a stereo, a VHF marine radio, fuel gauge, and battery
monitors. Nav desk lifts containing storage, along with storage on both sides of the nav station along
with 3 drawers.
GALLEY
The galley is located opposite the nav station on the port side and offers generous counter space
and storage lockers. A double stainless-steel sink is found with the dishwasher located underneath.
The Galley also contains a 4-gas burner stove with stainless steel hood, front-facing fridge, as well
as a top-down freezer. Upper cabinets are stocked with kitchen supplies such as nautical dishes,
glasses, (drinking, coffee, wine, and hi-ball), utensils, full cookware sets, pots/pans, bakeware,
crockpot, portable air-fryer/mini oven, portable induction burner. The galley also has a built-in
microwave.
FORWARD CABIN/HEADS
The 2 forward heads can be accessed through the cabin and have separate access doors. The
forward heads consist of a combo head, shower, sink, with storage mirror cabinets. The Forward
cabin can be split into separate bedrooms with individual closets, or the wood divide wall can be
removed to create an extra-large king-size master suite with dual closets and heads.
AFT CABIN/HEAD
The large aft cabin accommodates two with a queen berth. Shelving, cabinetry, cream leather
seating extends along the port and starboard sides of the cabin. The starboard side of the master
suite consists of a seated vanity, closet, and head with mirror/storage. The port side of the suite
contains a deep closet shelving, and the full-size shower with storage cabinets in the shower area.
There is also additional storage in front of the bed, under the leather seating, and on both sides of
the bed. I Kenmore music system/speakers is located on the portside for the Master ensuite only.
ENGINE ROOM
The engine is located under the cockpit/companionway stairs to the cabin. Forward-folding stairs
offer easy access. The generator is housed under the floor between the galley and Nav station.
COCKPIT
The spacious aft cockpit, inlayed with teak, offers 270- degree cushioned seating for 5 to 7 around
the helm and a folding wood table with drink holders and storage compartment inside the table.
The helm features two wheels, two magnetic Richie compasses, Raymarine depth, speed, and wind
instrument cluster, and chart plotter. 4 winches (3 electrical and 1 manual)
A Kenmore Stereo system located in the main cabin has speakers mounted forward port and
starboard. The cockpit is protected from the sun and sea by a full enclosure with zippered windows
and 2 overhead observation windows.
Helm seating has DEEP storage compartments (easy access and room to sit and work inside each
compartment, along with ample storage under the port and starboard seating areas. The aft cockpit
also contains a freshwater shower hose, swim ladder, and area for a BBQ grill. All life vests, lifeboat
and emergency gear are located in the floor near the rear of the aft/cockpit area for easy access if
needed.
FOREDECK
Moving forward the deck is protected by stainless steel and bow rails connected by dual lifelines
running the length of the deck port and starboard gates are found at the port and starboard sides.
The aft contains custom stainless steel/teak rails running along the aft/cockpit area.
Five hatches are found on the deck. New non-skid deck flooring along the front, port and starboard
deck area.
Inner and outer foresail tracks run along the port and starboard sides. Cleats are found at the bow
midships and stern.
The roller mounted anchor is serviced by an electric windless.
